パリ絡みで、一つ新情報です。
　ゲイ雑誌でもお馴染みの、画家の奥津直道さんからお知らせをいただいたんですが、直道さんが所属していらっしゃるヴァニラ画廊の作家21人を集めた展覧会「現代日本のエロティックアート展」（Japon Erotica – la nouvelle generation）が、パリ市内にあるエロティック・ミュージアム（Musee de L’erotisme）で開催中だそうです。
　直道さんも数点作品を出展なさっているとのことなので、渡仏のご予定がある方は、ぜひ足をお運びになってください。

　因みに、期間が2008年4月3日〜10月16日と長期なので、夏休みの旅行とかでも充分間に合いますよ。
　お次に、私の個展絡みの近況。
　個展で販売される『七人の侍』のプリントセットには、制作コンセプト、七曜や陰陽五行の解説、各作品の解題などを記した、解説文書が同梱される予定です。
　で、だいぶ前に、それを苦労して下手な英語で書いて（約2000ワードの文章を書くのに、丸々三日かかった……）、「これを元に仏訳を作ってね」とメールで送っていたんですが、今になってオリヴィエ（ギャラリー・オーナー）が、「このまま英文で使う」とか言ってきたもんだから、もうビックラギョーテン。
　え〜い、あんなブロークンな英語を使われてたまるか、恥ずかしい！　とゆーわけで、慌てて普段から懇意にしているアメリカ人のファンの方に、マトモな英語にトリートメントしてくれないかと打診。快く引き受けてくれて、翌日には早くも修正版が届きました。
　で、それをフランスに送って、ようやく一安心。

3) 水 Wednesday (Water)
In Japanese folk tales, there are many fascinating specters. This Kappa who lives in water is most popular one. A lot of Japanese artist loved to draw this little creature. For example, Ogawa Usen (Japanese-style painter), Shimizu Kon (cartoonist) and Mizuki Shigeru (comic artist). And if you like Japanese animations, you may have heard about Hara Keichi’s wonderful film “Summer Days with Coo” what was made in 2007.
Kappa likes to eat cucumbers, and likes to to do Sumo wrestling with a human being. But most interesting thing for me, Kappa likes to push his arm into men’s asshole, to take men’s “Shirikodama”. What is Shirikodama? It is a imaginary organ, and is believed that there is inside a male’s asshole. And the folk tale told that, when a man who is taken his Shirikodama by Kappa, must lose his power and his manliness.
This legend is looks like an allegory of “a man who was anal raped”. And thinking that, this little creature was already enjoying fist fucking, since the age of the fairytale, is very amusing for me.

Devotees of Japanese animated cartoons, may have heard about Hara Keichi’s wonderful film “Summer Days with Coo,” made in 2007.

But the most interesting thing for me is that Kappa likes to insert his arm into a man’s anus, to steal his shirikodama. What is shirikodama? It is an imaginary organ, believed to be inside a male’s rectum. According to the folk tale, when a man’s shirikodama has been stolen by Kappa, he loses his power and his manliness.
This legend is an obvious symbol for anal rape; but I also delight in thinking that the little creature enjoyed fist-fucking, way back in the age of fairytales!
　流石、ラストの一文なんか、とても自然な感じになっている……って、当たり前だけど（笑）。
　更にこの彼、友人の学者さんに頼んで、仏語訳も頼んでみてくれるとのこと。個展に間に合うかどうかは微妙ですが、いやありがたいことです。
